Chalk background Floral - Stamping 411 #242

Good evening everyone, on this very chilly February 11th.  Winter just had to let us know that it wasn't done with us yet!
My card tonight reflects the sketch with Stamping 411 here
The sketch used is below:

This is my card:

I chose to omit a sentiment on this card.  When I sell my cards at market many of my customers look for blank cards that could be used year round and for any occasion.  I think this is one of those cards.

I started out by creating the background for the image, which is from the Tea Shoppe stamp set.  Using chalks and a finger dauber, I smudged about 4 different colours randomly on a piece of Whisper White paper.  Then using a chalk eraser, lines were drawn diagonally both ways to create a grid pattern.
With a 1 1/4" square punch, 3 squares were punched from various areas of this pattern.  The image was then stamped using Basic Black ink onto these squares. You can see the background and the image in the close up below.

The squares were matted with 1 3/8" pieces of Melon Mambo card stock and these squares attached to a piece of Whisper White card stock embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder using dimensionals.  A tiny pearl was placed in the middle of each flower and some larger pearls around the bottom right corner. See close up above.
A piece of Melon Mambo was punched out with the Modern Label Punch and used to mat a similar piece of Whisper White card stock.  A small piece of the chalked background was adhered to the straight edge of this punchie.
A designer button was attached to this punchie, with a pearl placed in the middle.  A 1/8" Old Olive taffeta ribbon was attached underneath this button.
This punchie was attached to the embossed Whisper White card stock in the upper left side.
The Whisper White card stock was sponged with Melon Mambo ink.
