Magnolia Flower - challenge 116

As I mentioned in my earlier post, when I was out walking I saw the buds on a magnolia tree ready to burst into flower.  This inspired me to make this card:

I made the flower using the Build a Blossom punch.  I punched 9 of the large petals, and because they did not have smooth edges, I reinserted each petal into the 1 1/4" round circle punch.  Then I pinched the top end, rounded the inside and with a bone folder curved the side edges outward.  They were glued to a 1" circle.  The middle is a white 1" circle that I cut and glued so that it became a tube.  A 1" daffodil delight piece of card stock was rounded onto the lid of the tombo glue and glued to the top of the white tube.  The top of this was dotted with Always Artichoke marker.
The leaves were punched with the large petal, and sponged with Always Artichoke.
Card Base is Garden Green, followed by a Whisper White layer which was embossed with the Perfectly Polka dot embossing folder.  A strip of whisper white punch with the scallop border punch was put near the bottom.  On top of that is a 1/2" white taffeta ribbon.
The sentiment is from Fabulous Florets (from the new mini)
