A Little Note -- Paper Craft Crew Challenge #431

This card was made for the sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew Horizontal challenge #431

For this sketch challenge, I started with a base of Thick Basic White card stock and layered it with a layer of retired Purple Posy card stock.  That colour goes so well with the Hand-Penned DSP that I will be using on the rest of the car. This card stock was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder giving the card some much needed texture.

Towards the right side of the card base I added a 3 1/3 by 3 7/8" of Hand-Penned DSP the edges of which were sponged with Highland Heather ink.
On top of that but towards the left, I added a 2 1/4 by 3 1/2" piece of Basic White, the edges of which were also sponged with Highland Heather. This is the Art Piece.

On a separate piece of Basic White I stamped and coloured one of the floral clusters from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set.  The image was coloured using the fill stamps after which it was die cut with the image specific Penned Flowers die. This die cut was added to the Art Piece. Below the image on the Art Piece, the sentiment (from Pansy Patch) was stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink.

Across the lower part of the card, I added a stitched scallop strip (in Purple Posy) which was die  cut using one of the Penned Flowers dies On the left side of this strip a bow made using the 3/8" Fresh Freesia organza ribbon was added.

Some Pastel Pearls added to the flower centers and at the end of the sentiment finishes the card with a bit of glam.

Pansy Patch- Casing the New Catalogue

My pre-order arrived yesterday and as you can see I wasted no time playing with one of the new stamp sets, making a card using the new In Colors.

This catalogue goes live May 5 and contains some gorgeous stamp sets, dies, coordinating DSP and so much more.  Pansy Petals with its coordinating Pansy dies are one of them.

This stamp set has coordinating DSP, the images in which can be die cut using the Pansy dies.  This is what I did to create this card.

I used many of the new In Colors (which will be with us until 2023) making this card which I cased from the new catalogue. The colors I used were Soft Succulents for the base, Evening Evergreen for some of the leaves, Fresh Freesia in the DSP and Pale Papaya in the flower centers.

The new Pansies are arranged on a Vellum doillie which is carried over from the about to retire catalogue. This doillie is adhered to a Soft Succulent card base.  These pansies are die cut with the Pansy dies directly from the Pansy Petals DSP, as are the leaves around the flowers. The flowers are adhered to the doillie with dimensionals.

These flowers are at the left edge of two of the patterns of DSP, cut in 1/2" strips adjacent to each other.  The sentiment, stamped with Gorgeous grape ink on a 1/2" piece of Basic White card stock has the edge punched with the Doubled Labels Pick a Punch.  And finally, a tiny gold bumble bee is hovering on the pale pink Pansy.  This tiny bee is part of the Pansy Petals suite

No card is complete without bling, so Clear Wink of Stella is applied to both flowers.
