Happy Birthday Little Friend - Create with Connie & Mary

Happy Easter.  And what a wonderful Easter weekend it has been!  Up until today, it's been sunny and mild.  Today it's overcast and threatening rain.  We do need the rain as everything is so dirty from the winter!  Already plants are starting to emerge from the soil - making my fingers itchy to dig in the soil.

Today I thought I'd made a little friend birthday card for the sketch challenge with Create with Connie and Mary here

For my card, I placed the sketch on its side.
The base card is Riding Hood Red, layered with Whisper White cardstock, and then Pool party Co' ordination cardstock embossed with the Honeycomb folder.  A piece of striped designer paper from Storytime, was attached to the bottom 1/3 of the card, with a scalloped strip of So Saffron was placed over the seam.  The sentiment, which was punched with the 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, was attached just below the So Saffron trim.

The image was stamped with Black Stazon and coloured with Watercolor crayons and an Aqua Painter,  It was then die cut using the Ovals framelits.  This oval was attached to the card at the middle left.  Some dazzling details was applied to the little boy and his wagon.

Hello Friend, Feeling Sentimental - Sunny Challenges & Creations SC 73/13

I am so excited and thrilled to be a guest designer with Sunny Challenges & Creations this week.
Here is the card I made using the sketch challenge provided  as well as something from Sale-a-bration (SAB).

The base card is Rich Razzelberry, layered with Whisper White, and then 2 of the designer paper from Sycamore Street (SAB).  I put a white stitched ribbon, which I coloured with Rich Razzelberry, over the seam and made a bow to put at the bottom of the focal image panel.
The image was stamped with Rich Razzelberry ink on Whisper White paper and matted with Rich Razzellberry card stock.
All edges were sponged with Rich Razzelberry ink.
