Lasting Lily Sympathy Cards

During this last week of Sale-a-bration I selected one of my favourite stamp sets, "Lasting Lily" and its coordinating Framelits to make these two sympathy cards.

Pinterest is a great source of inspiration and one trend I was noticing was the use of dark card stock to show case the Lily.  The effect was quite stunning!

So, I decided to use Basic Black card stock to show case a bouquet of Lilies. In the first card the Basic Black was embossed with the Tin Tile embossing folder.

In the first card  the Lilies were stamped in Mango Melody with the edges sponged with Poppy Parade ink.  On the Basic Black card stock the lilies seem to take on a life of their own.

The stem and leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green.  

For the second card the Lilies were stamped with Berry Burst ink and adhered to a Basic Black background embossed with the Layering Petals embossing folder.
