(You) Lift Me Up - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #299

It's officially winter in Peterborough as well, with 5 cm of snow falling in the last couple of days.  More snow is on the way.  Coming on the heels of a warmer than usual November we really can't complain.  Besides, Christmas is just around the corner - 18 days to be exact.  Tomorrow I am doing my last craft event until the New Year.  I call it a craft event because I am the only  person setting up a craft table at a local hospital.

The card I made today features a new stamp set in the Occasions catalogue coming out next month.     This hot air balloon stamp set also has some thinlet dies that coordinate with it.  It goes perfectly with the sketch challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday or Not #299

The card base is Tempting Turqoise card stock layered with Whisper White and then Festive Birthday DSP.
The Art Piece is a Whisper White piece 4 by 2 1/2".  Clouds of 2 sizes were randomly stamped using Bermuda Bay ink.  The smallest balloon of the thinlet dies was used to die cut 3  balloon s using the striped pattern of the same DSP.  The edges were sponged with Rich Razzellbery ink and  two of the three were adhered with dimensionals.   Small bows made with Linen thread were adhered with glue dots to the base of each balloon.

The sentiment, stamped with Black Memento on a separate piece of Whisper White and punched with the  Classic Label punch.

The art piece was matted with Tempting Turquoise and adhered to the card front with dimensionals.
