Remembrance Day - Lest we Forget

main image
I got a letter this morning about Remembrance Day reminding me about the importance of this day.  About 75% of Canadians still feel this is a relevant day, and so do it.
So,  everyone should proudly pause on this all important day to express  heartfelt thanks to the veterans of our land - veterans who fought for our freedom. Wear your poppies, attend parades and/or other ceremonies and remember them in your hearts.
My parents lived in occupied Holland and they could not fight their invaders.  Instead they fell victim to their abuse.  But they survived and talked about how the Canadians liberated their country.  Other aspects of the war they never ever  talked about again.

So today I remember - the courage, the sacrifice of our oh, so young Canadians as they fought for our freedom.  Thank you very much.
