I had noticed at Craft shows that customers seemed to gravitate towards the smaller cards and that`s another reason why I made these smaller ones.
Each card uses the same colour scheme, DSP, ribbon and embellishments, yet each card is different.
Please note that I had carpal tunnel surgery yesterday and some of the card elements might not be perfectly straight. The cards were made mainly with one hand, as was the typing of this blog post.
Here are the 4 cards together:
- They all have a Pool Party base, layered with Very vanilla cardstock embossed with Decorative Dots embossing folder.
- All the images are matted with Real Red and then Pool Party, or framed with Real Red cardstock.
- The same DSP (the reverse of the Santa page) was used in all, but they are in different positions in each card.
- The ribbon and red glimmer paper stars are present in all.
Card 1
Card 2
I used the circle framelit to create a window in the center of the card. The stars were punched using remnants of the red glimmed paper and the itty bitty star punch.
Card 3
Card 4
A shaker box was made using the Square framelits. Silver beads were used as the shaker elements. to make the red frame I used 2 square framelits of 2 different sizes and placed it through the Big Shot. Some DSP was used with the Bow Builder punch to create the bow below the image.
Now to make the envelopes.
