Since she lives so far away (Vancouver), I can't just hop on the bus and go and visit her, so I am sending a card instead - and following up with phone calls of course.
I used Elegant Eggplant as my base, layering it with Whisper White and then Painted Petals DSP.
In the middle of the card, I placed an Elegant Eggplant banner, upon which I placed a smaller piece of the Painted Petals DSP and Rose Red cardstock (embossed with the Lines folder).
The Lotus Blossom was stamped with Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, and Wisteria Wonder (which had been stamped off once). The stem is Wisteria Wonder. The flower was punch with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. I then used the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack (the circles) and the paper piercing tool to pierce a circle within the scalloped one. The edges were sponged with Elegant Eggplant and then attached to the card with dimensionals.
Dazzling details was applied to the outline of the flower.
The sentiment is from Sheltering Trees and is stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink.
Here are the supplies I used:
