Advent Calendar 2014 LNS December challenge

It's not that I have a whole lot of time, but this project came together quite quickly.  I decided to make the Advent calendar featured on Page 12 of the Holiday catalogue for the LNS December Christmas challenge.
This calendar uses Tiny Treat Boxes which are decorated using a stamp set which is extra from the kit.  What took me the longest was visualizing where these little boxes would go  knowing children (and adults) these boxes would be scattered all over the place.
Then I remembered an old serving tray I had where the glass was broken.  So, I cleaned the tray, removed the broken glass, and laid down diamond glitter card stock to form the background for the boxes.  To solve the problem of the boxes again ending up all over the place, I placed velcro on the back of each box and glued it to the diamond glitter paper.  It didn't work as well as I hoped, but the boxes are staying in place, and they can be opened and closed without collapsing everything. By the way, if you use this method let the glue dry over night.

Being the rebel that I am, I deviated from the design depicted in the picture, using different embellishments and/or designed the box in a whole different way.

Here are the supplies used:

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Plus other punches and glitters and embellishments which I won't list here.
