This week with Mojo Monday we were given the option to make a round card or a square card. I opted to make a square card.
Because it is so nice out, I opted to go with a spring themed anniversary card.
I started the card by making the image panel. This was created by randomly stamping images from the stamp set "Stippled Blossoms" - first the larger flower in Raspberry Ripple, then the smaller flower in Primrose Petals, and the smallest blossom in Baja Breeze. The leaves were stamped using Gumball Green.
This panel was matted with Raspberry ripple cardstock. Baja Breeze card stock punched with the end of the Decorative Label punch was used to create the decorative element below the panel.
The basic card is 5 by 5", the base of which is Raspberry Ripple, matted with Whisper White embossed with the Delicate Designs Folder. The DSP is from the Print Poetry DSP pack.
I made the flower embellishment using white paper daisies that I coloured using a Primrose Pink marker for the larger one, and a Baja breeze marker for the smaller one. Some Daffodil Delight was put in the center of the smaller flower. After the 2 flowers had been adhered together, a small vintage button was attached in the center, then some Blue/white Baker's twine tied into a bow. Then, of course, the glitter!! Dazzling details was applied to all the petals.
Here's a summary of the materials/supplies used:
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Petite Pairs
Inks: Black Stazon, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Baja Breeze, Markers (Primrose Petals, Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight)
Papers: Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Print Poetry DSP
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Modern Word Label Punch, Word image punch, small oval, White paper daisies, Vintage button, Blue/white Baker's twine, Delicate Designs folder, Dazzling details
