Stampin' Card Keeper Boxes

Last night was the first night for the card making classes, and personalizing a Stampin' Card Keeper box was a great way to start.

The class was started out by viewing the video from Stampin' Up about the Card Keeper Box.  Assembling the box after that was very easy.
Then came the hard part - choosing how to personalize the box.

Here is the option I presented.
The base of the box was covered with Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Fabric which had been applied to the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to make it easier to handle.
The Lid was covered with Frostwood Lodge designer paper.

The top was decorated with a medallion made using 2" sqares of  Holly Berry Bouquet designer paper.  In the center is a 1 3/8" real red scallop circle, followed by a 1 1/4" circle in Chocolate chip.  A 5/8" neutral brad was inserted in the middle.
The leaves were made by running a folded strip of Garden green card stock sideways through the crimper and hand cutting the  leaves.

One of the students decided to cover the lide only.  She used the Mocha Specialty designer paper and I must admit the effect was stunning.

She then made a medallion for the top of the lid, using Crumb Cake and Basic Black.  The brad in the middle was embossed with black embossing powder. The finished medallion was spritzed with a glitter spray made with isopropyl alcohol & shimmer paint.  You can see the shimmer in the picture.
