Winter Post meets Snow Swirled - DCBD #241 Sketch Challenge

For this Christmas card made using the sketch with the Diva Coffee Break Designs here I combined two stamp sets - using the masking technique.

The image of the skaters was stamped with Early Espresso ink, then masked before stamping the tree from Snow Swirled in Wild Wasabi ink behind the skaters.  I coloured the skaters using Stampin Pastels and a blender pen.  White acrylic paint was applied to the end of a paint brush handle and daubed on the sky to mimic snowflakes.  Dazzling diamonds sprinkled over the wet paint make the snowflakes sparkle.
The large snowflakes were made using the Snowflake punch.  Glue was applied to each flake using the Two Way glue pen and again dazzling diamonds was applied.  A red flower (with small snips between each petal) from the Boho flower punch and a metallic brad embossed with Wild Wasabi embossing powder was attached to the center of each snow flake.
The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White and punched with the Decorative Label punch which was reinserted into the punch to make it smaller.
