Wicked - Creative Sketches 45H

The sketch challenge with Creative Sketches here has a theme attached to it this week - Fall or Halloween. I chose to make a Halloween card.

First I prepared the image.  On shiny cardstock I brayered Basic gray, and Cajun Craze, and then stamped the image of the owl on the tree and the bats with Black Stazon ink.
The tree was cut out using the Ovals die #2; the bats with the 1 3/4" punch.  The edges of both images was sponged with basic black ink.

The basic card is Basic Black, layered with Basic Gray , then Lucky Limeade and Basic Black again.  The final layer was embossed with the web embossing folder.

For the trim, I first cut a strip of Frightful Sight designer paper.  Then I made an edge by punching a number of bats with the bat punch (retired) in Cajun Craze and adhering them to one of the edges, creating a creepy edge.  Some black lacy ribbon (retired) was applied over the designer paper to hide the seam, and a trim of black rhinestones (retired) applied adjacent to the paper.  Rhinestones were also applied to the bat edge.
Here is a close up of the trim.

And a close up of the main image.
