How to make a pyramid card was demonstrated at Stampin Palooza in Toronto in Oct. 2010 by Chrystine Richardson. After the demonstration I had a chance to make one, and it was a lot of fun - and looked cool and funky.
I hadn't thought about this 3D special fold card until today when I read Sharon Field's blog here. She made a pyramid card providing a tutorial as well. She cites as her reference Libby Tyson's tutorial here.
So I pulled out my notes and tutorials from Stampin Palooza (particularly Christyne's tutorial) and made a pyramid Christmas card for the challenge with Hand Stamped Sentiments. I also used bits and pieces from Sharon and Libby's tutorials.
Inks:Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Basic black, SU Markers (Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Daffodil Delight)
Papers: Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Letters to Santa
Accessories: 1/4" White grosgrain ribbon, rhinestones, embellishments cut from designer paper
This is the pyramid card in its standing position
Remove the ribbon and the pyramid folds up and fits into a standard A2 envelope for mailing.

How cute....turning the pyramid fold into a Christmas tree. Now that's what I call a fancy fold. So cute and great use of all of the dsp. Thank you for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.
