I did this card last night while waiting in the ER to be seen by a physician. My left knee decided to become extremely painful and my family doctor wasn't taking appointments until May. Waiting times in the ER here are notoriously long, so if I have to go, I take art work with me. I always have some stamped images ready for emergencies such as this. It became a "get well" card for me.
The diagnosis: arthritis. Treatment: pain medications, heat and stay off my feet. There goes Easter dinner - I was hosting this year!!
The Upsy Daisy stamp is one of my favourites, and the Black Magic Technique is probably one of the easiest to do "on the go".
Here's the recipe:
Paper: black, so saffron, ballet blue card stock, and designer paper (retired I think)
Other: white satin ribbon, ruffled by sewing it on the sewing machine with long stitches and pulling the thread to achieve the desired fullness I wanted, white brads, small oval punch, modern word label punch.
Ink: white craft, basic black
Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Teeny Tiny Phrases
Technique: The image was stamped onto black cardstock, and then coloured (& shaded) with Stampin' Up watercolour pencils. Highlighting was done with a white gel pen.
Hope you like this card.
Hope all of you stay well over the holiday season.
Have a happy Easter one and all.
