You're Sublime - 5th and final card The camper "Follow Your Heart"

If you've been following me, you know that I've made a set of 5 cards that are 4 by 4" in size.  Each card depicts one of the images of the stamp set "You're Sublime".  The first card showed a cute frog (does everyone love frogs these days?) click here ; the second a cart full of flowers click here         the third a submarine click here and the fourth a lobster click here

Today is the final card of this "You're Sublime" series.

  • Card #5 shows a camper.  Just attach it to a car and away you go!  Wouldn't you like to follow your heart in this camper?

  • Again, the colour scheme is similar to the other cards.
Here are the 5 cards together, along with the decorated box. Because the cards are an odd size, there are no premade envelopes for them.  Thank goodness for the envelope punch board.

You're Sublime Card 4 Have a Snappy Day

This is the fourth card of a boxed five card set of 4 by 4 cards.  The first card feature a delightful frog click here; the second card showed a cart full of flowers click here ; the third a submarine click here
The lobster in today's card is pretty innocent looking, but beware of there claws, and those yellow eyes make it really spooky. However, he does have a smile on his face.
Lobsters are quite a delicassy, but I am not fond of that fodder - which is totally contradictory as I come from a seafaring country.  Sea food is not my forte.  But back to the card.

  • This time the DSP (retired) picks up the colour of the lobster, and the benotched strip of cardstock is now Calypso Coral, again keeping with the colour scheme of the 5 cards.
Tomorrow the final reveal.  Stay tuned.

You're Sublime - A Boxed card set of 5 cards- Card 1 Totally Awesome

Today I worked on a set of 5 cards using the "You're Sublime" stamp set. Over the next several days I will be posting pictures of these cards, plus the box I made for them.  I do a craft show next weekend and hope to sell it there.

All the images have been coloured with blender pens and ink pads-all paper edges sponged with Crumb Cake ink.

Frogs are so popular today, so I thought I would start with this little fella.

  • Start with 4 by 8" Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4" to make a 4 by 4 card
  • It is layered with a retired DSP.  A 1 1/2 by 4 3/4" piece of Crushed Currie cardstock was notched at both ends using the Triple punch.
  • The frog image was added to the card front using dimensionals.
  • A medium bronze bottom with Linen thread pulled through the eyes and tied into a bow on top was adhered to the right lower image piece.
  • The frog was coloured with Crushed Cucumber ink on the body, crushed curry on the eyes and the spots on the body.  I daubed a bit of Watermelon Wonder on the pupils.
