Sunflower mint note cards in a Pizza Box

One of the new items in the upcoming fall catalogue are mini 4 by 4"  Pizza boxes - perfect for putting treats in, or putting mini note cards in.  Since the catalogue also includes 3 by 3white  envelopes I decided to make some note card sets using the Autumn Harvest DSP.

The Pizza Boxes are white so they can be decorated for any occasion.
I made 6 mini note cards and placed them in a decorated pizza box (at the back) along with 6 envelopes.

The note cards are 2 3/4 by 2 3/4" and are layered with Oh So Eclectic DSP.

Decorating the top is a Daisy I fussy cut from the Autumn Harvest DSP, along with a Garden Green leaf punched with the new Leaf punch.  In the center of the Daisy is a Gold glitter gem.

The sentient "Just a Note" is from Picture Perfect is punched with the Word Window Punch.

The top of the box was decorated in the same manner, although I added an extra sunflower and leaf.

Sunflower Journal using Brick Wall Technique - The Friday Mashup #114

I'm doing an all day craft show at the end of the month, and one of my projects was to cover and decorate a journal.
Because I love doing different techniques, when I saw what the challenge with the Friday Mashup here was, I knew how I was going to decorate the front of the journal.
The technique is the Brick Wall Technique, with the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers here

Here is the completed journal.
I covered the journal with Natural Composition Specialty paper - with is paper that is embossed.  I loved the natural look of the woodgrain pattern.  The spine is braided with retired ribbons.
Than I used the sketch to organize the various elements for the front of the journal.

 

The image of the Sunflower was stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock, and coloured with ink pads and an Aqua painter.  Then, using the tutorial, I completed the brick wall back ground, sponging each of the pieces with Crumb Cake ink.

The completed image was matted with Soft Suede card stock, with a scalloped strip at the lower end.

This was attached to a background consisting of embossed crumb cake cardstock and a retired DSP in a green pattern.  This was adhered to a piece of Always Artichoke card stock.

The sentiment was die cut using the Labels framelit.
