An Easter card with Heritage Frames & Hold on To Hope

The "Hold on to Hope" stamp set and coordinating dies are held over from last year.  Today I put this stamp set together with the Heritage die and embossing folder to make an elegant Easter card in Vanilla and Gold.

Before starting on the card, 10 flowers were punched using the small bloom punch (SAB) and then spritzed with a homemade spritz made using alcohol and champagne shimmer mist.  Each was crumpled and left to dry.

The top fold base card of  Thick Very Vanilla card stock was matted with gold foil.  Before adhering this to the card base the center was die cut with a stitched rectangle die, and that piece was used to die cut the cross. An embossed Very Vanilla layer was added to this.

The oval center piece was created by die cutting and embossing gold foil using the Heritage die and embossing folder. Strips of adhesive foam strips were used to adhere this oval to the card front.  Some foam adhesive strip was also used to adhere the vanilla lattice covered gold foil cross to the oval center.

After embossing with gold embossing powder, two vines were die cut and adhered to the focal image as shown in the picture above.

As a final step, the now dried flowers that were spritzed and crumpled, are uncrumpled and shaped.  Two flowers, off set and adhered together make one flower. Crystal effects and dazzling diamonds was added to each flower after which they were added to the oval. Two flowers were added to the upper right; three to the lower left. Some foliage, die cut in Very Vanilla using the Noble Peacock die, was added around the flowers.  A gold rhinestone was added to the center of each flower.

The Little Red Farmhouse with Plaid - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #423

Labour Day weekend, an indication that summer is winding down. My thoughts drift more and more to preparation for fall related activities and Christmas.  I love this time of year, I just don't like the snow that is sure to come.

This week, the challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #423 is a sketch challenge, with an optional   theme  to add "plaids or checks".

The base card of Shaded Spruce card stock is layered with Whisper White embossed with the Stylish Scrolls embossing folder.  A strip of Wrapped in Plaid DSP is adhered to the embossed layer on the left side.  The reverse pattern of this DSP is placed across the top.

The focal image is the farm house from the Scenic Season stamp set.  The image is coloured with Stampin' Blends and Dazzling diamonds were added over areas with snow.  The image was then die cut with the Stitched Square die and matted with a slightly larger Cherry Cobbler card stock.  Dimensionals adhered this focal image to the card front.

The sentiment, from the same card set, was embossed with gold embossing powder on Whisper White , and matted with Cherry Cobbler card stock before adhering it to the card front below the focal image.

Three glitter enamel dots added to the upper card completed the card
