Keurig K- cup holder - a Father's Day gift

The Splitcoastamper tutorial this week was on the Keurig K-cup holder, and I thought that would be a perfect gift  for Father's Day.

I used the Labels framelits and Baked Brown Sugar cardstock.  The DSP is a birchbark paper from a couple of Christmas' ago, and I thought would be perfect for this masculine gift.

It was fairly easy to make.  The punch I used for the insert holes was a 1 3/4" circle  punch as I did not have a 1 5/8" punch but the cups fit in there nicely.

I decorated it by punching a 1 3/8" circle in Baked Brown sugar, layered it with a 1 1/4" bark paper, and then adhered a coffee cup from Perfect Blend stamped in Baked Brown sugar ink.  The coffee sleeve is from the Adventure Bound DSP stack, and the sentiment from Teeny tiny Wishes.

Perfect Blend Father's Day Treat

The idea for this Father's Day treat is not my original idea.  I saw it on Michelle's blog where she had made these as Christmas treats. I adapted them to make them a Father's Day treats.

I used a 2 by 10" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, scored it at 5 1/2 and 5 3/4 and punched the longer end with the Scallop topper tag punch.  The other end I scored at one inch.
I sponged the entire treat holder with Soft Suede ink and then scored all the folds.

Adventure Bound DSP was attached to the lower portion of the treat holder, and then the one inch piece was folded down and adhered to the DSP.  Two holes were punched using the 1/8" hand held punch, and twine was inserted through them.  Before tying them into a bow, I placed an individual instant coffee packet into the holder.

On a separate piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the coffee cup using Chocolate Chip ink.  I stamped the cup again on some Adventure Bound DSP.  The coffee cup was cut out as was the coffee holder on the DSP.  This was adhered to the coffee cup.  All edges were sponged with Soft Suede ink.

The finished coffee cup was adhered to the front of the treat holder using dimensionals.  Across the front a banner with notches at both ends and stamped with a sentiment stamped from "Guy Greetings" was adhered at an angle across the coffee cup and treat holder.

Some Early Espresso seam binding was inserted through the opening of the tag at the top and tied with linen thread.

To finish the treat, some retired embellishments in the form of library clips were added to the top of the holder.

Fancy Fold with Perfect Blend

Another one of my favourite stamp sets is retiring - Perfect Blend.  So today I visualized a Fancy Fold card, but I'm not sure it turned out the way it should have.  I have no name for this fold card.

The base card is Pool Party Coordination cardstock made into an unnamed Fancy Fold card.

The image of the coffee cup was stamped in chocolate chip ink and cut out.  With an Aqua painter and ink pads (Chocolate chip and Pool Party) the shadows were coloured in.  The coffee holder was stamped separately on a piece of Pool Party coordination cardstock and embossed with the polka dots embossing folder.  This was cut out and adhered to the coffee cup, and the edges of the entire cup sponged with Chocolate Chip ink.

For some bling, some In Color sequins (also retiring) were added to the coffee holder.  A chocolate chip 1/4" bow was also attached.

The coffee cup was adhered to a piece of Whisper White cardstock which had been stamped with Crumb Cake and the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (no, this is not retiring).  Below the cup and to the right,  tiny flower punched in Strawberry Slush DSP was added (this cardstock is retiring, as is the punch).  A sequin was placed in the middle of the flower.

The sentiment was stamped on the other panel, which also had Gorgeous Grunge stamped on the background.

On the smaller panel, a donut was made using first a 3/4" circle punch and then using a 1 1/4" circle punch around it.  The edges were sponged with Chocolate chip, tombo glue added liberally and the surface covered with real coffee!!

Perfect Blend - a St. Patrick Day's Card

This card is for my St. Patrick Day's class.  It features the versatile Perfect Blend stamp set, a set rapidly becoming one of my favourites.

The base card is Gumball Green, layered with Whisper White cardstock, the edges of which are sponged with Soft Suede ink.  A strip of Gumball Green cardstock with a piece of Whisper White on top of it provides a base for the stitched satin Gumball Green ribbon and bow.  Again, the edges of the Whisper White cardstock are sponged.  The Whisper White cardstock is stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp using Crumb Cake, and a sentiment stamped using Soft Suede.

Below this strip the sentiment is stamped, and a shamrock is placed in each corner.  The shamrock is made using the Owl Builder punch and punching out 3 hearts of Gumball Green cardstock for each shamrock.

The coffee cups are stamped with Black Stazon onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I also stamped one coffee cup on 2 different designs of the Watercolor Wonder DSP, and I cut out the coffee cosy of each one.  These cosies were adhered to a piece of Gumball Green cardstock and trimmed leaving an edge on the top and bottom.
The cups were coloured with a Crumb Cake marker and blender pen, and after the cosies were adhered to each cup, the edges were sponged with Soft Suede ink.
A shamrock was applied to each cup and a rhinestone was placed in the center of each.
The first cup was adhered directly to the card; the second using dimensionals.

Happy Together

I'm a real coffee drinker so when I saw the Perfect Blend stamp set I just had to have it.  I plan on making one of these for St. Patrick's day class, so you might say this was my trial run.

The base card is Crumb Cake, layered with Afternoon Picnic DSP the edges of which were sponged with Crumb Cake ink.  I then attached a 1 1/4" burlap ribbon just below the half way point of the card.
On a scrap piece of Whisper White paper, I stamped 2 coffee cups using Black Stazon ink, and coloured then both using a Crumb Cake marker and a blender pen.  I also stamped 2 images on some DSP from the Fresh Prints Designer paper stack and cut out the cup cozy and attached them to the coloured coffee cups.  The entire coffee cup was then sponged with Crumb Cake ink.
On one cup I attached two Pool Party flowers punched with the mini flower punch.  Rhinestones were placed in the middle.  The leaves were hand cut using green Gumball card stock.  On the other coffee cup I attached a Pool Party designer button with a bow of White Baker's twine on top of it.
The cups were attached to the card as indicated in the picture above.
