Baby Turtle - Unscripted Sketches #187

I sold a fair number of baby cards since September, and it seems more and more mothers are electing not to know the gender of their unborn baby.  Many grandmothers, and other relatives are increasingly looking for green or yellow baby cards, so today I thought I would use the sketch with Unscripted Sketches here  to make a green baby card.

Evergreen Peace on Earth - Technostamper #242

Just got back from seeing the Optometrist who put drops in my eyes, and as a result my vision is a bit blurry.  I hope my card isn't blurry, because I really can't tell.
This card is for the Technostamper challenge here

As you can see, I took the liberty of turning the sketch onto its side.

Technique:
The image was first stamped in Gumball Green and then double stamped with Black Stazon onto a Whisper White oval die cut using the Ovals die #2.  Some stars were stamped around it using Summer Starfruit ink.  Some dazzling diamonds were applied to the tree and the stars, and the oval was sponged with Gumball Green ink.
The base of the card is Real Red, layered with  polka dot embossed Whisper White cardstock sponged with Early Espresso.
The 2 panels behind the image are Early Espresso Core-dination cardstock embossed with the woodgrain folder.

Stamps: Evergreen, Greetings of the season
Inks: Gumball Green, Black Stazon, Early Espresso, Summer Starfruit
Papers: Real Red, Whisper white, Early Espresso Core-dination, Gumball Green, Snow Festival DSP
Accessories: Ovals die #2, Dazzling details, Woodgrain folder, Polka dot folder, dimensionals

Build a Cake Birthday - Stamping 411 #262

What a sudden change in the weather today.  One minute it was hot and sunny and then it was pouring rain!  A good excuse to stay inside and make cards.
This card is for the Stamping 411 sketch challenge here

I must admit I'm having trouble liking the new In Color Summer Starfruit.  I'm doing everything in my power to avoid using it, but when the color is in the designer paper well, one can't avoid it.  So, in an effort to make it more appealing to me I embossed the designer paper with the square lattice embossing folder. I inadvertently changed the design a bit by bringing the designer paper further down the card.  That was a mistake as I didn't see the space under the paper until I posted it on my blog.

Stamps: Build a Cake, Teeny Tiny wishes
Inks: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Primrose Petals
Papers: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Pool Party designer paper, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Dazzling details, Pearls, 3/8" Primrose Petals satin stitched ribbon, dimensionals, Scallop trim border punch, Ovals die #2
