New Home

Today I pulled out the Pop up Home stamp set with its coordinating die.  I did not however attempt the pop up house on the card inside.  I'll leave that for a later date.

I used the stamp set and the stamparatus to create the following card:

The image of the house was stamped and coloured with watercolour pencils and an aqua painter on a separate piece of whisper White card stock.  It was then cut out and set aside.

On a 3 3/4 by 5" piece of Whisper White, the stamparatus was used to stamp a fence that looks like it extends across the paper, but only part of a fence was stamped what would be to the left and the right of the house, The fence was coloured with Stampin' Blends.

A pebble path was stamped to extend from the house and then the grass stamp from "Sheltering Tree" stamp set was used to randomly stamp grass around the fence posts  and other areas.  The larger grass stamp was also used to fill in grassy areas in the fore ground and back ground

Branches were stamped on both sides of the house and again coloured with Stampin' Blends.

The house was adhered to the card front on the created scene.  Once adhered, the sentiment was added near the bottom of the house, and a window box with flowers with small dimensionals on the lower window.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Pop Up Home, Sheltering Tree
Inks:  Black Memento, Stampin Blends, Watercolor Pencils
Papers:  Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories:  Pop Up Home Framelits, Dimensionals, Aqua painter

Congratulations on Your New Home

My sister and her husband moved into an old farmhouse when their children were little.  It was a farmhouse very much like the one in Farmhouse Christmas.  It had a big willow tree in the front yard and the kids used to spend time swinging on the tire swing hanging from one of the large branches.

Memories!!!  Memories elicited by the farmhouse in the Farmhouse Christmas set.

I made this card to show that a Christmas stamp set doesn't necessarily have to be about Christmas.  It could be a birthday card, new home, or a general congratulations.

On a thick Very Vanilla card base I added a strip of Festive Farmhouse DSP matted with Cherry Cobber card stock.

In the center is a die cut  Granite Gray picket fence with a Mossy Meadow green tree behind it.I wanted to put it in the front yard, but it didn't look right. The farmhouse was stamped, coloured and die cut and added to the DSP strip using dimensionals.

I cut the Christmas tree off of the truck and made it into an every day truck and it sits parked beside the farmhouse.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Farmhouse Christmas
Inks:  Black Memento, Stampin' Up Blends
Papers:  Thick Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Slate Gray, Cherry Cobbler Festive Farmhouse DSP, Mossy Meadow
Accessories:  Festive Farmhouse Framelits, Dimensionals

I look forward to reading comments from my followers as I changed the comment settings to make it easier to do so.

Congratulations on your new Home

This is another card made using the "Just Add Color" DSP. The first card was a shaker using the Sea Turtle.
Today's card was made using 4 houses coloured from the 12 by 12" Just Add Color" DSP.  After coloring them with Markers and an aqua painter, they were fussy cut and adhered to a Whisper White card front matting.

Then I used the Eclipse Technique spelling the word "HOME"

I first added some grass using two stamps from "Sheltering Tree" and added the houses so they were sitting on the grass.
Large letter dies were used to die cut the letters spelling "HOME"

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Sheltering Tree, Home Life
Inks:  Stampin' Up Markers, Black Memento, Old Olive
Papers:  Just Add Color DSP, Whisper White, Always Artichoke
Accessories:  Large Letter Dies, Foam Tape, Dimensionals

New Home

Today I made another card using the SAB "You Brighten My Day" stamp set.  This time the little house stamp was used to make a New Home card.
Again, I used a lot of the SAB products to make this card.

The base card is Coastal Cabana, lined with Whisper White, and then Best Year Ever DSP (SAB).  This paper reminds me so much of the Bokeh technique that is so popular right now.

Just a little more than half way down, the tree outline from the stamp set "Wood You Be Mine?" was stamped with Old Olive ink all the way across.  Just below that a strip of Old Olive cardstock embossed with the Chevron folder was attached.

Three houses were stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock with Memento ink.  They were coloured with blendabilities - two with just Crumb Cake, and the third (the new house) was coloured with Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, and Daffodil Delight.  All the houses were cut out.  The two crumb cake houses were glued  side by side with a space between them, with the bottom of the houses touching the Old Olive strip.

A piece of ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (coastal cabana) was added to the top of the seam line of the Old Olive piece, slightly covering the base of the houses.  The third house was added between and below the other 2 houses using dimensionals.

The sentiment was computer generated, punched with the small oval punch and matted with the Modern Word Label punch.

Congratulations (On Your New Home)

There's nothing more exciting than moving to a new home.  A friend of mine recently moved from California to West Virginia and for the first time in her life experienced the changing colors of the leaves of our trees and last week - her very first snow fall!  Can you imagine having never seen snow?  We certainly got dumped on since Boxing Day and today I love it!  Next month I may not feel the same way.
Anyway, this card is for all of those who have moved to a new location.  From my house to yours!!!
I based the card on the sketch on Unscripted Sketches here

Stamp:  Layered Labels
Ink: Island Indigo
Papers: Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Sycamore Street DSP (SAB), Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party
Accessories: Apothecary Accents framelits, Square lattice folder, Small star punch, rhinestones, 1/4" Tangerine Tango satin ribbon (SAB)
