Hello Spring - The Paper Players #334

For the challenge with The Paper Players I die cut some flowers and leaves and formed them into a vine of sweet peas.  As someone said to me today "I'm winter weary!" so making this vine of sweet peas was my way of bringing in spring.

The challenge at the Paper Players is to "Cut it Out" - punch, die cut, fussy cut, etc.

The Botanical Builder framelits and other flower dies were used to create the Sweet Pea flowers and the vine on which they are placed. The bee was die cut using the Detailed Dragonfly Framelits.

The vine was built on a piece of the Inside the Lines DSP which had been brayered with Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Bermuda Bay.  This art piece was matted with Bermuda Bay card stock.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Circle of Spring
Inks: Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzelberry, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay, Black Memento
Papers: Always Artichoke, Sweet Sugarplum, Daffodil Delight, Inside the Lines DSP, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Botanical Builder framelits, Detailed Dragonfly Framelits, Other non SU floral dies, Flower shaping tools, Hot glue gun, 1" circle punch

Z Box Pop Up Favourite Sale-a-bration Card - SUO Challenges #168

This week's challenge with SUO Challenges to feature a project using  SAB products.  I have so many favourite Sale-a-bration products it was hard to settle on one.  So, I decided to use not one, not two, not three, but four SAB products on my card. These products were incorporated in a Z box Pop Up card, the tutorial for which is from Splitcoaststampers .

The card base was made from Mint Macaron, and the cut out chickens and eggs from "Hey Chick" were attached to the inserts via strips of Window Sheets.
At the base below the chickens, I attached a Whisper White panel on which one of the lace images from "Delicate Lace" was stamped twice with  Crushed Curry ink. This, as well as the panels of sponged "Inside the Lines" DSP on both sides of the "box", was matted with Basic Black card stock.

This side view shows the sentiments on both the back panels. They are from "Avant-Garden" and are stamped with Black Memento on Whisper White the edges of which are sponged with Crushed Curry.

The Inside the Lines DSP panel, of which there are two on this card, is sponged with Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Bermuda Bay, picking up the colours used on the Chickens,

The 3 chickens were coloured with an Aqua
painter filled with rubbing alcohol instead of water and ink pads.  Three eggs were stamped, coloured with a Soft Sky marker, and like the chickens, cut out and adhered to the inserts inside the box.

This top view shows the inserts in the box of the Z fold card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hey Chick, Avant-Garden, Delicate Details
Inks: Black Memento, Crushed Curry, Delightful Dijon, Cajon Craze, Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky marker
Papers: Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Basic Black, Inside the Lines DSP
Accessories: Small Oval Punch (retired), tooth pick, Window Sheets, glue dots, stampin' up sponges, Aqua painter (with rubbing alcohol)

A Wonderful Friend Birthday - Try Stampin on Tuesday #301

It's snowing again today.  Last winter we hardly had any snow at all, and so far this year we have had a lot of snowy days - and it's not even Christmas yet.  One song we don't have to sing this season is "I'm Dreaming  of a White Christmas"

Today's card is another catalogue sneak peak - both for the Occasions and SAB.  The sketch with Try Stampin' on Tuesday was used, although I did rearrangel some of the elements.

Art Piece:
The main art piece is a 3 1/2 by 5" piece of Inside the Lines DSP (SAB) on which only a few images were coloured with water colour pencils (Occasions catalogue) and an aqua painter.
This paper was cut into 3 pieces that are 1" each and equally mounted on a 4 by 5 1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
Some gold Wink of Stella was applied to the flower center; Clear Wink of Stella on the bee's wings and some parts of the flower
In the upper left corner a dragonfly(Occasions catalogue) die cut in gold foil was adhered with glue dots.
The  classic label punch was used to punch the sentiment, which was matted with Bermuda Bay and added to the card with dimensionals.

Card:
The main card is Whisper White card stock, layered with Bermuda Bay

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Dragonfly Dream
Inks: Black Memento, Water colour pencils
Papers: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Inside the Lines DSP, Gold foil
Accessories: Detailed Dragonfly Thinlet dies, Classic label Punch, Gold Wink of Stella, Clear Wink of Stella, Aqua painter, Dimensionals.
