The Traveler - Vintage

This card was made for a swap, the theme of which was "travel".

  • The vintage look was created using the following methods:  chocolate chip and Very Vanilla cardstock, & sponging using 2 colours (crumb cake and chocolate chip) of inks along the edges of all Very Vanilla pieces
  • The base card is Chocolate Chip cardstock. layered with Very Vanilla stamped with the World Map background stamp.  This layer was sponged heavily with the two colours mentioned.  In addition, some Old Olive was sponged in the center.
  • The two smaller images were die cut using the layering square framelits.  The mat is chocolate Chip cardstock.

Celebrate - Freshly Made Sketches $226

The weather was so mild today one almost had the feeling spring was on the way.  And it is light so much later now - and that I really like.

The card is made for the sketch challenge with Freshly Made Sketches #226






  • Image was stamped with Black Memento ink and coloured with a blender pen and ink pads (Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Delightful Dijon, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow)
  • Some clear Wink of Stella glitter was applied to the flower petals and part of the leaves.
  • The base card is Delightful Dijon, layered with Whisper White and then Timeless Elequence DSP.
  • The image piece is matted with Delightful Dijon, and then adhered to the card front using dimensionals.
  • At the bottom of the image, a 1" strip of Botanical Garden Vellum.
  • One side of a separate piece of vellum was coloured with delightful Dijon marker, and then 2 butterflies were punched out - a larger one and a smaller one.  The Smaller one was punched using a piece of uncoloured vellum.  The two butterflies were adhered together with a glue dot ans some black liquid pearl was added to the butterfly.
  • The sentiment is from Greatest Greetings, and punched with a word window punch.

Get better Soon -Hand Stamped Sentiment #232

This card is for the sketch challenge with Hand Stamped Sentiments
For my card, I changed the oval from the sketch into a rectangle.






  • The base cardstock is Elegant Eggplant layered with Whisper White cardstock embossed with Decorative Dots embossing folder.
  • The image was stamped with Black Memento ink and coloured with markers and a blender pen.  The sentiment "Smile" was stamped twice, coloured and layered onto the first word using dimensionals.
  • On the Whisper White layer, a double notched banner was adhered- Hello Honey DSP matted with Elegant Eggplant cardstock,
  • The image panel was add to the card front over the double notched banner using dimensionals.
  • At the bottom of the image panel a smaller double notched banner was stamped with Black Memento onto Whisper White matted with Elegant Eggplant.  It was attached to the bottom of the image panel with dimensionals.
