To a Wonderful Couple - SUO Challenge #223

This was card was made for the SUO Challenge "Think Spring" .
One has to think very hard to conjure up Spring, at least in Southern Ontario.  We've had a lot of rain, and below average temperatures and although this was planting weekend I had my winter woollies on to do so.

June is the month of weddings, so for this challenge I made a wedding card, using a new bundle from the soon-to-go live new Annual Catalogue - Verdant Garden and the coordinating Garden Lane DSP.

The vine-like image from "Verdant Garden" was stamped in each corner of a piece of Whisper White, after which a strip of Garden Lane DSP with a notched end was added in the center. This was adhered to a Petal Pink layer and then onto a Pear Pizzazz card front.

The sentiment, stamped in Pear Pizzazz and embossed with clear embossing powder, was punched with the Tailored Tag punch.  This was matted with Pear Pizzazz card stock before adding it to the card front using dimensionals.

Three 'buds' were stamped, coloured with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut.   Three extra leaves were also die cut in Pear Pizzazz card stock, using the Magnolia Memory dies.  The buds and leaves were arranged around the punched sentiment.

Quite by accident I discovered that heat (from a heat tool) applied to the Petal Pink Organza ribbon  causes the ribbon to crinkle.  This crinkled ribbon was adhered under the sentiment.

To finish the card, Clear Wink of Stella was applied to the 'buds' and rhinestones added to the card front.

Supplies Used:
Stamp:  Verdant Garden
Inks:  Pear Pizzazz, Versa Mark, Stampin' Blends (Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz), Black Memento
Papers:  Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Petal Pink, Garden Lane DSP
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Tailored Tag Punch, Magnolia Memory Dies, 5/8" Petal Pink Organdy ribbon, Dimensionals, Clear Wink of Stella, Rhinestones, Triple Punch
