Single layer Thank You card -Hand Stamped Sentiments #342

As I have mentioned frequently I don’t participate in colour challenges- usually.... Unless the colours speak to me, which of course is unscientific and cannot be proven.  However, I’m sticking to my story.

The colour challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments #341 is for the following colours: Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay. Did you picture ferns?

Using those colours I decided to do a technique I haven't done for a while - clear block stamping.

A "D" block, inked with Pool Party ink, is spritzed lightly with water and stamped onto a 3 3/4 by 5" piece of Whisper White towards the top half.  After it was dry, two images from "Forever Fern" were stamped over this background - the larger one with Bermuda Bay; the other with Mint Macaron. Some Bermuda Bay "dots" were added to the background - another stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set. The sentiment, stamped in Bermuda Bay, is from "Positive Thoughts"

To fit in with the colour scheme, a 1/4" Whisper White ribbon is coloured with a Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend, tied into a bow and added at the junction of the two stems with a glue dot.

This Whisper White layer is matted with Mint Macaron card stock, and this in turn is added to a Bermuda Bay card base.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Forever Fern, Positive Thoughts
Inks:  Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend
Papers:  Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Whisper White
Accessories:  D Block, Spritzer with water, 1/4" Whisper White ribbon

Thoughts of You Rain or Shine - The Friday Mashup 95

This week the challenge with The Friday Mashup here is a color one.  Lisa, one of the designers is thinking spring, and what is more spring-like than rain and umbrellas.
The colors:  Raspberry ripple, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive - perfect for what I had in mind.  Although from the sounds of the weather report for tomorrow I don't think we'll get out the umbrellas just quite yet.  More likely shovels - as we're expecting up to 25 cm of snow.
But for this card I'm thinking Spring.  Here it is:

Each of the umbrellas were stamped and then cut out - so were the handles.  Because I only have the new ink pad for the Raspberry Ripple, the color saturation for the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive is not as bright as I would have liked. They were attached to the card using dimensionals.

Stamp:  Rain or shine
Inks: Raspberry Ripple, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
Papers: Raspeberry Ripple, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
Accessories: 1/4" Raspberry ripple stitched satin ribbon, 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, word window punch, Cloudy Day folder, dimensionals, Itty Bitty flower punch, Owl Builder Punch (center of flower)

Fun Flower Note Cards - Paper Players Challenge #67

These 4 note cards were made using the colour challenge with Paper Players Challenge here  Only 1 of the note cards is shown.

Papers: Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Autumn Spice designer paper
Inks: Cajun Craze
Accessories: Scallop Square Clear Die, Fun flower die, Boho Blossom Punch, Pearls

The base of each note card was a square scallop in Cajun Craze. A  5 1/4 by 5 1/4" piece of designer paper was adhered to the top of the scallop square,. On top of that I adhered a piece of Vanilla card stock 5 by 10" sponged at the edges and folded in half
The Fun Flowers were sponged and layered and adhered to the top half of the Very Vanilla note.  On each note card the flowers were arranged in a different color order.
A pearl was placed in the center, as well as the upper right.
Envelopes were hand made as the card is an unusual size.  A strip of designer paper was adhered to one end.
