Wreath with Peaceful Boughs - Joy to the World

I'm really enjoying making Christmas cards this year.  I'm almost finished.  Today I pulled out the Peaceful Bough stamp set and decided to use one of the stamps I hadn't used much before - the single pine branch - and decided to make a wreath using a template and the stamparatus.

A 4 3/4" square piece of Whisper white card was inserted into the template and the wreath created by stamping images in a circle.  The branches were stamped with Old Olive; the pine cones with Soft Suede. the berries with Real Red.

Circle punches were used to create the center of the wreath.- a 2" one in Whisper White; a 2 1/4" one in Old Olive . After the sentiments from the Peace and Hope stamp were added the top Whisper White circle,  the two circles were adhered together and then added to the center of the wreath with dimensionals. Three red embellishments were added above the word and glitter added to the berries.

To finish the wreath, a double bow made with the Real Red Organza ribbon was added to the lower right.

This Whisper White art piece was matted with Old Olive before being adhered to Thick Whisper White card stock.

Supplies Used:

Stamps:  Peaceful Boughs, Peace and Hope

Inks:  Old Olive, Soft Suede, Real Red

Papers: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Old Olive

Accessories;  2 and 2 1/4" circle punches, 1/4" Real Red Organza ribbon, dimensionals

So Hoppy Together - a SAB sneak peak

Do you want a sneak peak of one of the SAB stamps which will be offered free with  $60 purchase starting in January?

I couldn't wait to make some cards using the "So Hoppy Together" cling   stamp set.  The new cling stamps are so marvelous!! Once they are mounted on the stamping block they stay there i.e. they won't fall off or slide while stamping.  See the earlier post here where I posted a video made by Stampin' Up explaining all about the new cling stamps - putting the labels on, using, cleaning and storing them.

So, here's the first card:

These little frogs are so cute!
This one finds himself in a pond full of hippos waiting to snap him up!  His friend the butterfly hovers over head. I love this little guy's attitude - it seems like he's saying that as long as he's on his "lily pad" the hippo's can't get him- thus the "hey"

After colouring the frog with Stampin' Blends (Granny Apple Green light and dark, with Pool Party eyes I used a 1 3/4" circle punch to punch him out, then matted him with a Starburst circle in Basic Gray.

The butterfly was coloured with Rich Razzelberry and Smokey Slate stampin blends, punched with a 1" circle punch and matted with 1 1/8" scallop circle of Basic Gray.

I also used punches to punch out that defiant "hey!"- a 3/4" matted with a 7/8" scallop.

These elements were arranged on some Animal Expedition DSP (annual catalogue) which was layered on a Whisper White layer.  After these layers were adhered together, some 3/8" Basic Gray ribbon was added near the bottom and a bow added to the right of the main image piece.
The layers were then adhered to a Pool Party card base.

Supplies Used:
Stamp:  So Hoppy Together
Inks:  Black Memento, Stampin' Blends (Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Rich Razzelberry, Smokey Slate)
Papers:  Pool Party, Whisper White, Basic Gray, Animal Expedition DSP
Accessories:  Circle Punches:  Starburst, 1 3/4", 1", 1 1/8", 3/4", 7/8",  3/8" basic gray ribbon

Trio Peek a boo Panda Card - a partial CASE

Sale-a- bration is drawing to a close.  Only two more weeks of working with these wonderful "free" products- free with a $60 purchase.

Today I was playing with the Party Panda, probably one of the most favourite stamps of the SAB catalogue (although there are so many, it's hard to choose)

I saw a video made by Frenchie, where she made a Peek-a- boo- Trio pop up card using "This Little Piggy"

Instead of the little pigs, I used those cute little Pandas in "Party Panda"

Paper Sizes:
1.  Pool Party 5 1/2 by 6 1/4" Score at 2 (front)
2.  Pool Party 5 1/2 by 6 1/2" Score at 3 1/4" (inside)
3.  Pool Party  5 1/2 by 4 1/2 Score at 1/4"  (back)
4.  Perfect Party DSP 4 1/8 by 5 3/8"
5.  Whisper White 1 7/8 by 5 3/8"

On a Pool Party base, I added some Perfect Party DSP, then punched 3 evenly spaced 1 3/8" circles using a punch.

Pool Party rings were adhered around the circles.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, 4 Panda's were stamped using Black Memento ink.  The Party hats were coloured with Blendabilites, fussy cut and set aside.  Two of the 4 pandas were coloured on their backs using the ink to paper method.  The 3rd panda had a mirror image stamped on the back using the silicone mat method.

Three circles were also punched in the right side of the inside piece. (I traced circles from the front onto the inside piece so the circles would match up.  The pencil marks were erased later.

Note:  I placed rings of DSP around the circles punched on the inside.

After adhering the Whisper White piece I again traced the circles and then stamped sentiments in each one of them.

The back piece was then added to the card.

I then posed the pandas in the circles on the card front, and the 4th panda just below the sentiment.

Supplies Used:
Stamp:   Playful Panda
Inks:  Black Memento, Blendabilities
Papers:  Pool Party, Whisper White, Picture Perfect Party DSP, Basic Black Marker
Accessories:  Circle Punches:  1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1 3/4", glue dots.
