Flower Pot Card

The end of this calendar year is arriving very fast and many products are retiring.  So, for the next week I'm going to make a card featuring some retired products.

Tonight I made a  Flower Pot card using the tutorial from splitcoaststampers

The base for the flower pot card is Baked Brown sugar cardstock, which was decorated with Park Lane DSP on the front.  Natural 5/8" Chevron ribbon tied around the top of the card keeps it closed.

Three flowers from the stamp set "Mixed Bunch" are stamped using Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantalope, and Coastal Cabana inks.  They are punched using the coordinating punch, the Blossom Petal Punch.  The center of each flower  stamped with Hello Honey ink,are punched with the 3/4" circle punch and adhered to the flower using a dimensional.  A clay button is also adhered to each of the flower centers.

The flowers are adhered to the top of the card which slides into the flower pot at the back.

The sentiment is from "Many More Thanks"

Here are the products used to make the card:

Mixed Bunch Mother's Day Card - Sketch Frenzy Friday

There's a saying that as one gets older the days go by faster.  I must be getting really old, because the days are just zooming along!  It seems like it was just yesterday that I was making a card for last week's Sketch Frenzy Friday mini blog hop, and now its another Friday.  And yes - time for another mini blog hop.  Hope you can find the time to join us and see what this amazing team has created with this week's sketch by Jennifer Weide

The lighting on this picture isn't the greatest.  I apologize for that.  I wanted this Mother's Day card to be soft and gentle so I used only 2 colors (if you consider Whisper White a color) - Whisper White and Pool Party, but I'm afraid it didn't photograph well.

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Pool Party, Basic black
Papers: Pool Party, Whisper White, Attic Boutique designer paper
Accessories: Finial Press embossing folder, Blossoms punch, Word Window punch, Modern Word Label Punch, 3/8" Pool Party seam binding, Ornament punch, 5/8" Neutral Brads (white), Rhinestones, Stampin Dimensionals.

Now its your turn to create something.  I can hardly wait to see what you come up with.  When finished, upload it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday homepage here so we can comment on your work.
Your next stop on the tour is Patrice's blog: here
Don't forget to visit the blogs of the other team members and leave comments.

Stay well, and I'll see you next week.
