Nature's Harvest in Blue and White

Nature's Harvest does not have to be a fall card. Cone flowers are after all a summer flower,

With that in mine, I selected a blue and white pattern from the Nature's Meadows DSP and the rest is history.

  • The Card base .is a Misty Moonlight side fold A2 card.
  • Die cut the front card flap using a Basic Border die  (1/" from the center point)
  • Emboss the cone flower image with white embossing powder on this die cut flap.

  • Adhere a 4 by 5 1/4" of the blue and white pattern of the Nature Meadow DSP to the same size of Misty Moonlight card stock.
  • Adhere this to the underside of the die cut card flap.
  • Cut a 4 1/4 by 3/4" of Basic White and a 4 1/4 by 1/2" of Basic White.  Adhere the two together.
  • Adhere a 4 1/4 by 3/4" length of Misty Moonlight ribbon to the middle of this matted strip and add to the lower card front covering the bottom of the embossed cone flower.  Add a bow in the center of the ribbon
  • Three retired "All the Trimming embellishments " were added at an angle to the upper left corner.
Inside:
  • Add a 1/2 by 4" strip of DSP to the bottom of a 4 by 5 1/4" of Basic White card stock and adhere to the inside of the card.
No sentiment was added to the card.    One will be added when a card is needed for a specific occasion.

People Like You - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #150

I've been waiting to try this new stamp from the Occasions Catalogue, and the sketch challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday here provided me with the perfect opportunity. The challenge included the use of polka dots on the card somewhere.

The base card is Primrose Petals upon which I layered Silver Fancy Foil Vellum paper.  The image unit was adhered on top of this.
The image was coloured with 2 colours of SU markers and a blender pen.  It was first coloured with Primrose Petals and shaded with Raspberry Ripple. Daffodil Delight was used in the center after which some dazzling diamonds was adhered to them. The stem was first coloured with Old Olive and shaded with Always Artichoke. Before layering it onto a piece of Primrose Petals cardstock embossed with the Polka dot folder, the edges of the image unit were sponged with Primrose Petal ink.
A piece of 1/8" silver taffeta ribbon with a ribbon was adhered below the image panel.

Stamp: People Like You
Inks: Black Stazon, SU markers (Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight), Primrose Petals
Papers: Primrose Petals, Silver Fancy Foil Vellum Paper, Whisper White
Accessories: Dazzling diamonds, 1/8" silver taffeta ribbon, blender pen

Above you can see the polka dots in the vellum layering paper, and the polka dot embossing on the piece of Primrose card stock.
