This card is my second submission to April's challenge for We Love Stamping only this time instead of a Peacock I used a Rhinoceros, the stamp for which is in the new Annual Catalogue (2023-2024). The former card image was from a retired stamp set; this one is from a stamp not yet available for purchase, so this is a sneak peak of what will be available.
The background was made by using the new small blending brushes and different colours blended together on a Basic white card stock base.. I just loved using the smaller brushes because I was able to used different colours in smaller spaces. And I was able to apply the ink without drag or smear marks.
After creating the colourful background, the tree structure and canopy as well as the bushes was die cut and added as shown in the picture above. The grass was stamped on Basic white, coloured with Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends, then die cut and added to the bottom of the base.
The rhinoceros was stamped with Black Memento ink, and coloured with Smoky Slate stampin blends for the body, Basic Black for the hoofs and Wild Wheat for the horn. The bird on is back was coloured with Poppy Parade Blend, as was the bird hovering on the tall grass (lower right)
The image was die cut using the coordinating Rhino Ready dies and added to the card front using dimensionals.
