I wanted to make a card featuring the "On the Pond" stamp set, and I thought the sketch challenge with TSOT would be perfect. I also had a stamp set with large fonts so I decided to do the combo challenge - sketch and theme.
The card base is Pool Party with the layer behind the focal image is Shaded Spruce, two colours I have never used together before.
Behind the sentiment panel is a piece of Enjoy the Journey DSP, the bottom portion of which is stamped with water waves (On the Pond stamp set) using Balmy Blue ink. The DSP is cut just above the water line and both pieces adhered to the Shaded Spruce card stock.
I used the stamparatus to stamp the sentiment, and then stamped 3 little bees above the word. This panel was added to the DSP over the two cut pieces using dimensionals. Two bull rushes were stamped, colored, and cut with my scan n cut. One was adhered next to the sentiment; the other behind the panel. I also stamped and coloured 2 larger insects, cut them with my scan n cut and added them above the sentiment panel using dimensionals.
To finish the card I added 3 Garden Gems at the bottom of the sentiment.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: On the Pond, Slimline Sayings (non SU)
Inks: Black Memento, Balm Blue, Stampin Blends
Bull rushes: Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede
Insects: Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Heart: Real Red
Papers: Pool Party, Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Enjoy the Journey DSP
Accessories: Dimensionals, Garden Gems
