Even though it is still August, the days are getting shorter, the air is getting cooler, and the leaves on some of the trees are starting to change colour. Fall definitely is in the air.
The Inspiration challenge with Hand Stamped Sentiments #341 here reflects the change in the season, and so does my Slimline card with its hand made coordinating envelope
The card base is Old Olive card stock , 7 by 9" scored at 3 1/2" on the 7" side to form a 3 1/2 by 9" slim line card. It is layered with Gilded Autumn DSP and then Whisper White. The edges of this Whisper White layer is sponged with Crumb Cake ink and the splatter stamp is used to add colour and texture to the rest of this layer.
This card actually has 2 focal areas separated by a sentiment.
At the top of the card is the image of a fall tree from the stamp set "Life is Beautiful" . After adding colourful fall leaves Stitched Rectangle dies were used to add the image to the top of the card in triple layers. Each image layer is separated by an Early Espresso layer.
The sentiment in the middle is stamped with Soft Suede ink and then die cut with the Celebrations label die. The edges of sponged with Soft Suede Ink. At the ends of the die cut. holes for a ribbon were punched using the Triple punch. Copper trim is inserted through these holes and tied into a bow on the left side.
At the bottom are two leaves, black embossed on water colour paper and coloured with the Baby Wipe technique. After overlapping then slightly they are added to the card front with dimensionals.
In color enamel dot embellishments are added randomly over the card front.

The slimline shape compliments both focal areas. The different patterns and layers create so much texture. Beautiful colors and layout. So glad you were inspired to create such a lovely card. Thanks for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
