Mountain Air Bridge Fold Masculine Birthday card - a CASE

I cased this Bridge fold masculine birthday card from Leena Girswin, a demonstrator in Cambridge,Ontario. It was so well done that I changed only a few minor details.

The card uses the Mountain Air stamp set including some Country Club designer paper

A bridge fold is quite easy to make and there are many tutorials available to consult, but the one I found the easiest was on Splitcoaststampers here

  1. Score  4 1/4 by 8" Night of Navy card stock at  1 1/4, 2 1/2, 5 1/2 and 6 3/4".  Fold inward st the 2 1/2 and 5 1/2" score lines and f
  2. old the other 2 score lines outward to form a Z or M pattern.
  3. Add 1 1/8 by 4 1/8" Country Club DSP (green plaid pattern) to the outside flaps.
  4. Stamp the mountains and trees on the 3 by 4 1/4" piece of Whisper White using Smokey Slate and Basic Gray ink for the mountains, and  Shaded Spruce for the trees. Note:  stamp off before stamping with the reverse or the smooth side of the stamp.
  5. Stamp birds in sky
  6.  Stamp mountains on 2 by 5 1/2" of Whisper White card stock and die cut.  Adhere at each of side flaps to form bridge.
  7. Stamp trees on 2 1/2 by 5 1/2" piece of Whisper White and die cut.  Add below mountains on bridge.
  8. Stamp and die cut 2 each of single and paired trees.  I did not double stamp the trees, and sponged the edges of them to reduce the white lines around each tree.  Add to each side of bridge.
  9. Stamp sentiment, from "Sending You Thoughts" with Night of Navy ink, and punch with Timeless Label punch.  Stamp some birds on punched sentiment.  Adhere to upper left panel.
