But today I persevered, and I was successful. Because I have now worked out 'the kinks' my next pop up will be easier.
The above picture shows the front of the card. Six 3/4 " strips of Garden Impression DSP were added to a piece of Whisper White card stock to create a panel. This was added to the Night of Navy card base.
The sentiment, from the Pop of By stamp set, was die cut using a die from the Hummingbird framelits. A binotched strip of Night of Navy card stock and after a piece of miniature gold sequin trim was added beneath the sentiment piece after which it was adhered to the DSP panel using dimensionals.
Open the card, and the house pops out:
To colour the house I opted to use extra die cuts of the house rather than sponging or otherwise colouring it. So, I die cut a roof in Night of Navy and the main house in Basic Gray. These were adhered over the pop up base. I decided to keep the door white.
Once that was done curtains, a flower box and a wreath were added to make the house look more inviting. All were coloured with Stampin' blends.
To finish the card, Garden Impressions DSP, in the same colours as the house, was added to the lower card, completing it with a 1/8" strip of Night of Navy cardstock just below the house.
Details were added and the corners rounded of the sentiment piece for which the Detailed Trio punch was used.
