Celebrating Remembrance Day

Today is November 11th, a day to acknowledge the sacrifice many men and women made during the many wars they fought for the freedom we experience today.

I remember my father, although not technically in the army, fought for freedom during Occupied Holland; my children's great grand father lost his life, their great uncle managed to make it home but was so "shell shock" he died an alcoholic.  Today I remember them all and thank them for their sacrifices.

These poppies I made using coffee filters coloured with Real Red and Cherry Cobbler reinkers.  The center is a black scallop circle with each notch cut and curled up.

LEST WE FORGET
