BBQ season is in full swing, and just the other day I could smell my neighbour making supper using his BBQ. Unfortunately I need to make a trip to the store to buy some propane. I'd better do it soon because a heat wave is predicted for my part of the world tomorrow - 41 degrees C
So, instead of barbequing I made a BBQ card using the tutorial at Splitcoaststampers here
It's a bench fold card, the base of which is Sahara Sand embossed with the Brick Embossing folder. The strip in front and the table is one of the new Neutral colors : Merry Merlot. I used the same colors to make the apron and part of the oven mitts.
The feet were made using the Decorative Label punch.
On the back of the center portion, were adhered 3 silver foil rectangles were adhered to basic black card stock,
The heat elements were made using 1 1/4, 1and 3/4" circle punches using Basic Black and silver foil card stock. The coffee pot and cup were fussy cut from retired DSP( I left a tail on the end of each item, bent it and adhered the pot and cup to the BBQ top with the little fold only)
The on/off knobs were made using the same punches.
The oven mitts were die cut using the Apron Builder framelits with some black Baker's twine added to each one.
The sentiment is from the May Paper Pumpkin kit.
On the left side the die cut utensils were hung on a black rolling pin, but I left a few to put in the pocket of the apron.
The remainder of the utensils are stored on the right wall.
