Masculine Pop Out Explosion Card

This is my final card using the True Gentleman suite because - I've run out of DSP - so I thought I would finish with a Pop Out Explosion card.

I used the tutorial with Splitcoaststampers here

This card has a Very Vanilla base of 4 1/4 by 9 " folded in half to form a 4 1/4 by 4 1/2" card.  The front is layered with a 4 1/4 by 4 1/4" piece of True Gentleman DSP.  A different pattern but same size of DSP covers both of the inside panels as well.

It is held closed with a removable 1 by 9 1/2" belly band.

The pop out explosion mechanism starts with a 6 by 6"  piece of Very Vanilla card stock that is first folded in half, opened, folded in half again, opened and than folded tip to tip at an angle.

I cut two other 2 3/4" squares of a different pattern  of the DSP and placed each half on the triangular pieces of the pop out.  The unscored area was left for stamping a sentiment and/or writing a note.

To ensure this pop out fits properly inside the card, the envelope punch board was used to punch out the middle scored area .

A 1 by 9 1/2" Tranquil Tide belly band with some 3/8" Night of Navy corduroy ribbon adhered to the middle of it was wrapped around the card to keep it closed. It can be slipped off to open the card.

To this band I added an embellishment made using  a Crumb Cake Starburst crimped circle with a Tranquil Tide Tag punchie adhered to it.  A banded sentiment was added to the top of that with dimensionals.

Finally two small buttons threaded with linen thread were added above and below the sentiment.

The entire embellishment was added to the band using dimensionals.
