Altered 1/2 Half Wide stamp case

In using the Stamparatus a lot, I am using a lot of stamps and when removing them from the stamping plates I don't always take the time to put the stamps back in the case.  There is a real danger here that stamps are going to get lost.

There is the same concern when using numerous small framelits/dies.

The altering a tin came to mind, but looking around I noticed the SU half wide stamp cases and decided to alter them.  Stamps removed while stamping with the Stamparatus (or not) or small dies used for die cutting can be safely placed in this altered case for safe keeping until they can be returned safely to their original cases.

Above shows the outside of the closed case.

The case was altered using the following dimensions of DSP (as well we a piece of magnet on the inside lid)
  • 2 pieces of DSP 5 by 4 1/4" (for front and back)
  • 4 pieces of DSP 4 5/8 by 1/4" (for the sides)
  • 1 piece 3 1/2 by 1 1/8" (for back)
  • 1 piece magnet to attach to inside cover 4 1/2 by 3 1/4"
  • any decorations desired for the front - I used a 2, 2 1/4, by 2 1/2" circle punches and a die cut letter to personalize.

My team made one of these as a make and take.

Hope this idea is useful.
