It was really quite a lot of fun making an image, that when placed behind a die cut "grill", fluttered.
The card base is Rich Razzelberry. On the front I placed a die cut butterfly, with the actual "moving" part on the back panel.
The front panel is layered with Whisper White card stock, embossed with the Trellis embossing folder. In the center is a Lucky Limeade landing for the butterfly, punched with the Pretty Punch.
The butterfly itself was made in 3 stages. First the image was stamped with Rich Razzelberry, then it was die cut using the outline die from this coordinating framelit set. For the 3rd step, I die cut a more detailed butterfly in Rich Razzelberry which I placed on top of the other 2 layered only in the middle. Pearls decorated the center of the butterfly.
A smaller Bermuda Bay die cut butterfly was added to the upper right and on the band.
The middle panel is Lucky Limeade cardstock upon which I added a couple of Crushed Curry hibiscus and a hummingbird.
On the back panel is the part of the card that moves. Watch the stampin up video below to see how to make the butterfly flutter.
I made a 3 1/4 by 4" pocket for the butterfly, and popped it up with the thick double sided tape used for making shakers. The insert is 2 3/4 by 3 3/4" with a punched tab punchie adhered to the top.
