Avant-Garden Birthday - SAB sneak peek

Winter has arrived here with a vengeance

dumping almost 20 cm of snow.  It was a challenge digging out the mouth of the driveway after the snow plow had passed by.  My son tells me the snow was almost up to his thigh.  It's days like this that one yearns for the flowers in the garden, so this was a perfect card to make. It uses 2 SAB items - a stamp set and the metallic ribbon.

Art Piece: The flower was stamped with Black Memento and coloured with a blender pen and ink pads. The dot stamp was used to create depth in the background.  Second generation stamping of Basic Gray was used for this, after which the edges were sponged.

Card:
The Bermuda card stock base card was layered with Whisper White with a piece of Cupcakes & Carousel DSP adhered to the left side.  A piece of 3/8" gold metallic ribbon was attached over the edge of the DSP.
One end of a 2" Bermuda Bay strip was notched with the Triple punch and adhered to the card front centered over the ribbon.

The art piece was adhered to the card front with dimensionals.  The sentiment was die cut using the layering oval framelits.
Dimensionals were used to adhere this to the card front as well.

No card is complete without some bling.  This was provided by Bermuda Bay sequins and some dazzling details on the flower and leaves.
