Shirt Card - Pal Paper Arts #253

It was a hot day for the plant sale and I had few customers.  About mid afternoon a cold front moved through followed by a series of thunderstorms and heavy rain.  I closed up shop and because I was really tired from the heat I went to bed for a couple of hours.

Now I'm awake, and making a card for the sketch challenge with Pal Paper Arts seemed like a good idea.
June 2 is coming fast, and the Adventure Bound DSP will be retired, so that was the focus of my card.

PPA253

This top opening card has a base of Smoky Gray cardstock, layered with 2 layers of Adventure Bound DSP.  The bottom of the second layer, the plaid one, was cut  using the directions of the sketch.  A smaller Whisper White piece whose corners were rounded using the corner rounder punch, was added to the right side.  All edges were sponged with Smoky Slate ink.

The shirt was made using another pattern of the Adventure Bound DSP.  The tie picks up the blue of the plaid DSP and a small silver brad is inserted through it.  It is attached to the shirt using glue dots.
Along the bottom, a small strip of the same blue DSP is inserted through a ribbon slider, which hopefully looks like a belt buckle and it is adhered to the Whisper white piece using tombo glue.

The sentiment is stamped with Smoky Slate, punched with the Modern word label punch and layered with the blue DSP punched with the small oval punch.

In additiion I used a ribbon slider (now retired).

This is a perfect card for Father's Day, fabulously creative and the use of the Adventure Bound DSP was inspired. I just love that plaid layer and the tie, every single detail is just fantastic.
Thank you for sharing.
