For the New You - A Tag Accordion card - The Paper Players #246

The wedding card I made for the sketch with The Paper Players turned out totally different than the one I visualized.  Does that every happen to you?
I ended up making a card I have never made before and couldn't find a tutorial for it anywhere, so I just" winged" it.

The front of the card looks fairly normal, but the tag is not a tag.  It is an accordion tag (I call it that for want of a better term).  Undo the ribbon and the tag opens up to reveal wedding images and sentiments.  I used 2 stamp sets to design this:  "For the New Two", and "Perfect Couple".  The Perfect Couple set is retired.

The base card is Sahara Sand, layered with Whisper White and then Something Borrowed DSP.  Across the middle of the card I adhered a 1" strip of Sahara Sand with a piece of 7/8" Sahara Sand lace trim attached to it.

The focal image is the tag i.e. accordion tag.
A 3 1/2 by 10 1/2" of Sahara cardstock was punched at both ends using the newOrnateTag Topper punch.  The extra bits at each end were snipped off and rounded with the Project Life corner rounder punch.
This was scored every 1 3/4", and the tag was folded like an accordion.  The folds were burnished with a bone folder.
Four pieces of Whisper White were cut at 3 3/8 by 1 5/8", decorated and adhered between the scored lines.  All images were embossed with silver embossing powder.  Parts of the images were coloured with Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky markers.

This shows the tag opened and reveals the 4 panels

These are the first 2 panels

The last 2 panels.

A piece of 1/4" Pink Pirouette ribbon was inserted from front to back in the hole of the back tag, brought about the back, over the front.  The piece at the back was then brought through the front one and both were tied together in a bow.

The sentiment from "For the New You" was embossed with silver embossing powder, matted with Sahara sand cardstock and adhered to the front of the tag with dimensionals.

Tiny pink pirouette flowers were adhered throughout the tag and also added to the outside.  All had a rhinestone in the middle.  Large rhinestones were placed on the ribbon to the left of the tag.

Supplies Used:
Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

In addition I used the Subtles markers.
