Decorated To Do List - The Paper Players #242

This is another item for my craft table next Saturday.  I decided to decorate a "To Do" list, and for the front I used the sketch challenge with The Paper Players

I used the stamp set "Hot Diggity Dog"  and put a ribbon around the holder to keep it closed.  There is no ribbon in the sketch.

The To Do List

I scored a 7 and 7 3/4" Old Olive cardstock at 4 and 4 1/2.

To decorate the cover, I first added a piece of Whisper White cardstock and embossed it with the Decorative Dots embossing folder.  The edges were sponged with Old Olive ink.
A piece of Painted Blooms DSP was adhered at the top, and three banners were placed just above, over and below the seam line.  I chose the colours Old Olive, Real Red and Basic Black because those are the colours in my design.

The image was coloured with markers.  The head and body were separate, so it was a delicate job to get the head and body lined up.  The image was die cut using the Ovals Framelit and adhered to the front using dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped in Basic black.  It is punched out using the small oval die and matted with an Old Olive Modern Label punchie.

I tied a ribbon around the finished item just to keep it closed.
