Thinking of You - Wetlands - Card #2 Blendabilities Background

This is the second card is a series using the blendabilities backgrounds I created yesterday.  I again use the "Wetlands" stamp set (this is one of my favourite stamp sets) and the "Thinking of You sentiment.  I must be thinking about someone.  Actually I am.  My older sister in Vancouver had a heart attack this week, and she wants me to come and visit her.  I don't know if I can travel. Any way, that's another story.  I am thinking about someone.

For this background I used the dark shade of all the following blendabilites with the exception of the Crumb Cake which is also used the light shade:  Crumb Cake light, Crumb Cake medium, Bermuda Bay, and Daffodil Delight.

Here's how the card turned out.  For some reason the card is a little crooked.

This is the side view.  I intended to stamp 2 rows of sandpipers, but I goofed with the second row.  Glossy card stock is very slippery, and if you press on the paper too hard, the image smears, which is what happened.  As a result, I created a totally different looking card.  This time I used some embellishments.

The base card is Soft Suede, layered with Whisper White with a panel of Coastal Caban on the left side.  Attached to this panel is a strip of Soft Suede die cut using the large scallop framlet, and then attached a 1/4" Daffodil delight ribbon over the seam.  A knot made with the ribbon is attached at the top using a glue dot.
At the bottom, on the panel, are attached to round bitty buttons, with a small round punch of soft suede underneath.  That was punched with the Itty Bitty punch pack (the circle one).  Attached to the top of one of them is bow of Early Espresso Baker's twine.

The sentiment is from "Walk in the Wild"

The bitty buttons are retired.
As well as the other papers, I also used Glossy Cardstock.
