Happy Birthday - Create with Connie and Mary #335

My the weather sure has turned cold all of a sudden.  At Christmas temperatures were so mild you could go out without a coat on.  And there is no snow on the ground.  The latter is about to change though I think.

It's good staying indoor weather, so I'm playing in the craft room.  Today I made a card for the challenge with Create with Connie and Mary here  I already had the focal point of the card coloured with blendabilities, so I used it for the card.

CCMC335
This is a 5 by 5" card, whose base is Old Olive, layered with Whisper White.  The third layer consists of a combination of sizes of Old Olive and  Birthday Bash DSP.  The Old Olive pieces were embossed with the Lines Embossing Folder.

The focal point, as I mentioned, I had already coloured with blendabilities, was die cut using the Oval Framelits.  I stippled around the edges of the die cut ,while it was still in the die, using Old Olive.  Some dazzling details was placed around the edges of the two larger flowers and in the center of the smallest ones.  Then a rhinestones was added to the center.

As an embellishment I decided to use the Butterfly thinlet in coordination with the stamp set Butterfly Basics.  The butterfly was stamped with Coastal Cabana, and then die cut using the butterly thinlet.  A Soft Sky blue smaller butterfly was punched and added to the top of the larger one.  Dazzling details was applied around the perimeter of the smaller butterfly and rhinestones in the center.

The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics.

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Any of the above can be ordered through my on-line store, the link to which is in the side bar of this blog.

In addition to the above, I used the following items from the upcoming Occasions catalogue:
1.  Butterlies Thinlets
2.  Birthday Bash DSP
3.  Butterfly Basica stamp set
4.  I like You (Hostess)
They will be availble for order Jan. 6, 2015
