Now it's May, and my craft shows are starting in a little over a week. One type of card I am in need of is birthday cards, so I used the sketch with Technostamper here to design one.
I decided to make the card a bit monochromatic with a touch of colour. The base card is Baja Breeze (sigh! It's retiring), layered with a Honeycomb embossed Whisper White card stock.
To the right of the card is attached a strip of Patio Party DSP matted with Baja Breeze card stock.
A Baja Breeze banner was attached horizontally about 1" from the bottom. The sentiment was stamped directly onto this banner, and teeny Primrose Petal flowers with rhinestones in their center were adhered on either side of the sentiment.
The image was stamped with Black Stazon onto Whisper White card stock, and coloured with SU markers and an Aqua Painter. I punched it out using a 2 1/2" circle punch and matted it with a 3" circle of Baja Breeze. Before I matted it, I used the circle template and the mat pack and paper piercer to pierce holes all around the circle. Some dazzling details was applied to the flowers on the hat and along some of the outline of the elephant. This focal image was attached to the card using dimensionals.
Here's a summary of the materials/stamps used:
Stamps: You're Amazing, From My Heart
Inks: Black Stazon, SU markers (Basic Gray, Primrose Petals, Baja Breeze)
Papers: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Patio Party DSP
Accessories: Honeycomb folder, Mat pack & paper piercer (with template), 2 1/2" circle punch, 3" circle die, Teeny flower punch, rhinestones, dimensionals, dazzling details.
