What is a Friend - Sweet Sunday sketch challenge #180

How many times have we said to our friends - You are sincere, true, kind, caring, sweet, wise, happy and you are loved?  If you haven't perhaps its time.
This card, made with the Decorate a Daisy stamp set, has those words right in the middle of the flower!  What a perfect card for a friend.
I used the sketch challenge with Sweet Sunday here  to design this card.

The colour scheme is Elegant Eggplant, Summer Starfruit and Baja Breeze, a combination suggested by the Color coach.
The flower was stamped twice with Summer Starfruit, and then the 2 layers were cut out by hand, and the edges sponged with the same ink.  They were layered together using dimensionals.
The center of the flower was stamped using Elegant Eggplant ink, and punched out using a 1 1/4" circle punch.  A 1 3/8" circle of Baja Breeze card stock was punched out and attached to the 1 1/4" circle.  Both were then attached to the center of the flower using dimensionals.
The flower is now complete except for some dazzling details which I will add when the card is completed.

The flower is adhered , using dimensionals, to a square of Whisper White cardstock the edges of which were sponged with Elegant Eggplant.  This was matted, first with a layer of Elegant Eggplant cardstock, and then a layer of Baja Breeze cardstock,

The base of the card is Elegant Eggplant, layered with Whisper White, and then a layer of Birds of a Feather DSP, a polka dot Summer Starfruit colour.  Near the bottom, a piece of scalloped Elegant Eggplant cardstock was layered with Baja Breeze DSP and then adhered to the card.

The flowered square was adhered to the card slightly toward the top.

At the top, rather than putting a circle as indicated in the sketch, a blue bird was stamped, cut out and adhered to the card using dimensionals.

Some dazzling details was now applied to the flower and to the top of the bird.
