Great Sport

Today is my youngest son's birthday, and since he plays on a men's football team I thought I would make him a football card.

Masculine cards are a rarity and they are not easy to make.  I struggled with this one for a while, but eventually settled on using a sports theme and two masculine colors: midnight muse and cajun craze.

Stamps: Great Sport, Itty Bitty Banners
Inks: Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze
Papers: Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze, Whisper White
Accessories: Houndstooth Folder, Square Lattice folder, Bitty Banners framelit, Tiny star punch, dimensionals, Marina Mist/Whisper White Baker's twine 1 3/8" circle punch

The base of the card is Midnight Muse which is layered with first Cajun Craze and then Whisper White embossed with the Houndstooth Folder.
The football stamp was used to make the designer paper.  It was stamped randomly using Midnight Muse ink on Whisper White paper.  The paper was then embossed with the square lattice folder and matted with Midnight Muse
The other images were stamped with Midnight Muse on Whisper White, cut out, and attached to the card using dimensionals.  Before attaching the cajun craze football, a 1 3/8" circle was punched out and adhered to the middle of the main image.

P.S. My son didn't know I was making this card and he was sitting right behind me watching TV.
I hope he'll like the card.
