Sitting on a Pumpkin - Sketch Frenzy Friday

The temperature is finally a bit cooler this week, making it more bearable to be outside.  This week I've been able to dead-head some perennials and some geraniums and my garden looks a bit tidier.
I'm still having some problem with bats in my house, so Halloween is on my mind.
So, for this Friday's mini blog hop with Sketch Frenzy Friday I made a Halloween card - using today's sketch by Sharton Wheet.

Here's my interpretation:

8/10/12 - by Sharon Wheet

Technique: Rich Razzelberry ink was applied to the front of the Spider Web embossing folder using a brayer.  Then a piece of  Whisper White card stock was inserted into the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Neat effect heh? (Sorry, I'm Canadian!)
Note:  To clean the folder and the brayer run them under the tap using cold water, and dry with a paper towel.

To obtain the notched edges on either side of the Tangerine Tango strip, a strip of card stock was cut to the correct length, and wide enough to fit into the Decorative Label punch.  Then insert each end of the card stock into the small end of the Decorative Label punch from the top of the punch and punch.

The image was colored with watercolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits.  Crystal Effects was applied to the pumpking to give it more of a 3D effect.

Stamps: Greeting Card Kids, Wicked Cool
Inks: Black Stazon, watercolor pencils, Rich Razzelberry, Basic Black, Blush Blossom marker
Papers: Rich Razzelberry, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Labels framelit, Window Frames framelit, Spider web folder, stipple paint brush (non Su), 3/8" Tangerine Tango taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, Brayer, Crystal effects

Now it's your turn to create something using Sharon's sketch.  When done upload it to the Sketch Frenzy home page here
Because its a blog hop, take some time and visit the blogs of the other team members - to see how they interpreted the sketch.  Don't forget to leave some comments.
Your next stop is Patrice's blog here

Hope you enjoyed your tour.
Stay well, and I'll see you next week.
