Northern Trim Serene Snowflake - Hand Stamped Challenge 85

The challenge with Hand Stamped Sentiments this week:  create any project using an embossing folder, embossing powder or letterpress Plate.  Here is the link to their blog: here
I love the teams' sense of humour - they title their challenge "Impress Us".  A play on words  - just my style of humour.

I used all three "impression" methods on my card.

Stamps: Serene Snowflakes, Petite Pairs
Inks: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo
Papers: Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Accessories: Star burst embossing folder, Iridescent Ice Embossing powder, Dazzling diamonds, Pearls, Snowflake die #2, 2 1/2" circle punch, Scallop oval punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Northern Trim Letterpress Plate

The side panel was made using the Northern Trim Letterpress Plate, using Whisper White ink on Island Indigo Card Stock.  The entire panel was then covered with Versa mark and embossed with Iridescent Ice
embossing folder, and matted with Baja Breeze card stock.
The Whisper White layer was embossed with the Starburst embossing folder (I resisted using the doubled embossing method here)
The rock and roll technique was used to stamp the Snowflake image.  Tiny pearls were placed in the center of this flake.  It was punched out with the 2 1/2" circle punch.  The scallops around the circle were make by adhering 1/2 of an scallop oval punchie all around the circle.
This focal image was adhered to 1/2 of a snowflake which was covered with dazzling diamonds.

I hope this card had "impressed"!!

This card was inspired in part by a card made by Julie Davison

I've got another play on words for embossing....tell me what you think. "Now show us 'Who's the (em)Boss' " Hee hee! Anyways, you did a great job incorporating all 3 embossing techniques. This card is so pretty and I love the color combo and the layout. I bet it really sparkles in person. Thank you for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
